Equinox Dance Party @ Holistic Hub

This is a celebration of the Autumn Equinox and Courtney’s birthday (owner of the Holistic Hub). This is a space to move, make noise, get connected, and express yourself as we welcome the changing season.

We’ll start with a somatic movement workshop led by Courtney. After that, the floor is yours with a live set from Spark Dance, an improvisational percussion band.

Take a break from dancing with hands-on crafts, or settle into one of our curated spaces for conversation and connection and sip on one of our functional bevarages. We’ll be making flower crowns and exploring the music of plants using electrodes that translate their electrical activity into sound, creating a unique and immersive sensory experience.

The only rule is to do what feels right for you. Come by yourself or bring a friend. Wear whatever lets you move. If you’re not a dancer, perfect. This isn’t about being good at it. it’s about letting the music move you and honoring your needs, even if it’s just your shoulders or your feet tapping.

1. The buzzer code for the main door (off Sherman Ave) will be released the day of the event.
2. The Holistic Hub is on the second floor to the left. There is clear signage to follow.
3. There is a free parking lot behind the building off Landsdowne Ave, as well as plenty of street parking.
4. Please bring a refillable water bottle. We have water jugs and cups available, but we’re trying to reduce single-use items.
5. This is a no-shoe zone. If you need shoes, please bring a pair of indoor shoes or a Lysol wipe to clean the bottoms of yours before entering.
6. Keep talking to a minimum on the dance floor, use our conversation pits instead!
